The Video Game Trophy Room: Episode 68 - Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark

PC: Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark

With this the Neverwinter Nights trilogy comes to a close. Given how closely tied Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark are, I felt it appropriate to play through as Cyrus once more. My game crashed three times trying to get this ending to load, and when it finally worked properly it was the one time I roll a 1 on my persuade check with Aribeth >.> All that hard work ruined by a crappy dice roll. Such is life.

I played through as a Fighter/WM/Bard and I believe I finished at around level 23 or 24, maybe 25. I never leveled up for the final battle as I ended up having ... well needless to say I knew their would be no battle. Either way, I'm sad this is over. This game brought back many memories of times long past. Thank you Bioware for making such a great game.

The Video Game Trophy Room: Episode 67 - Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide

PC: Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide

Finally finished this campaign today! I am pretty proud of myself, as this was the first time I have ever beat it. Around the time this came out I was pretty into a NWN Persistent World called Dragon Coast, and I never bothered to finish it. I am glad I did, or else I'd have never even understood what a "Shadow of Undrentide" was. Compared to the first campaign this was a lot shorter, but I found it to be a lot harder. I managed beat it with Xanos as my companion, not that idiot Deekin. Was glad I did, he really saved my life in the room before the last boss. I couldn't do anything to the enemies >.<;

I played it through as my pirate hero, Cyrus Rackham. Different build this time. Rogue/Shadow Dancer. I think I prefer his Bard/Fighter/WM build better. When I tackle Hordes of the Underdark I will build him that way I believe.

Overall I enjoyed this campaign, it's a shame it took me so long to appreciate it.

The Video Game Trophy Room: Episode 66 - Neverwinter Nights

PC:
Neverwinter Nights

Well what can be said about Neverwinter Nights? I don't think their is a game out their that consumed more of my highschool years than this game. Or more of my life for that matter. This took... many, many hours to beat. Considering I did as many sidequests as possible. Even though this is now 8 y...ears old, I really enjoyed it. Tempus fugit...

Played it through as a Chaotic Good Elven Ranger who used a long bow and rotated between Sharwyn, Tomi, and Daelan as my Henchmen. Ended up being level 15 almost 16 when I got to the last fight. Not bad.

All in all, a good, fun, DnD adventure.
